Lifelong learning plays a crucial role in empowering older adults to remain engaged, independent, and well-informed. Our Education Program offers structured learning opportunities that address a wide range of topics relevant to aging populations, including financial planning, Medicare and Medicaid literacy, and mental well-being.
We design our courses and workshops to be interactive, practical, and accessible to all participants. Experienced professionals and subject-matter experts lead sessions, ensuring high-quality instruction that directly benefits older adults and their caregivers. Whether through in-person classes, webinars, or self-paced learning modules, we strive to make knowledge accessible to all.

What We Offer
A Matter of Balance
A Matter of Balance is an evidence-based falls prevention program for older adults who are concerned about falling, or who have limited their activity because of that concern. Sessions cover practical strategies to reduce fall risk, stay active, and rebuild confidence. Age Central has a certified Master Trainer on staff, trained to deliver the program both in person and virtually.
Senior Medicare Patrol: Fraud Protection and Prevention
Through the Senior Medicare Patrol (SMP), Age Central helps older adults, family members and caregivers detect, prevent and report Medicare fraud, errors and abuse. Sessions cover how to review a Medicare statement, how to recognize common scams, and what to do if you believe a Medicare number has been misused.
Speakers and Presentations
Age Central staff are available to speak to community groups, congregations, senior housing residents, service clubs and professional associations across Fulton, Marshall, Peoria, Stark, Tazewell and Woodford counties. Presentations can cover Medicare basics and fraud prevention, caregiver supports, falls prevention, benefits access, and how to reach services through Age Central.
